Payne's Gray was a German progressive metal band that was formed in 1988 and disbanded in the late 1990s.
history
Two years after the founding they released their first demo Of Tyrants and Reflections , in 1991 another demo with Infinity . Four years later, Kadath Decoded , a concept album on HP Lovecraft's The Dream Search for the Unknown Kadath, was released . Stylistically, it was partly based on Psychotic Waltz , particularly through the use of the flute. The band also used two singers. After Payne's Gray reissued their second demo in 1998 with a new track as a bonus, they broke up.
Michael Ehninger and Marco Müller played with the progressive metal band Destiny Dreaming in the late 1990s , while Martin Mannhardt was for two albums with the melodic metal band Wicked Sensation in the early 2000s .
