Manoel Bomfim
Manoel Bomfim (born August 8, 1868 in Aracaju , † April 21, 1932 in Rio de Janeiro ) was a Brazilian doctor , psychologist , educator and historian .
Bomfim is considered to be ahead of its time in the sense that he anticipates terms from Vygotsky , Jean Piaget , Ernst Bloch and Antonio Gramsci in his interpretation of society.
“In contrast to Alberto Torres , who did not try to distance himself from the nationalist doctrine of clearly racist format, as advocated by the influential authors Sylvio Romero and Oliveira Vianna , Manoel Bomfim clearly distanced himself from these two authors, which certainly contributed to this has that his work has been forgotten.
