The Peacock Peak is a mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises one mile south of Bennett Bluff on the western flank of the upper section of Berry Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1974 after the ionospheric physicist Dennis S. Peacock, who lived on the Byrd from 1970 to 1971 Station was active.
