The Peacock Heights are a massive, 18 km long and 8 km wide group of mountain peaks and ridges in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Churchill Mountains they extend east-southeast of Mount Nares . The heights range from around 600 m on the Starshot Glacier to 2600 m near Mount Nares. The group forms the watershed between the Flynn and Donnally glaciers .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 2003 after the US ionospheric physicist Dennis S. Peacock, who worked for the National Science Foundation from 1975 to 1987 and as a senior scientist in the United States Antarctic Program from 1991 to 2002 .
