The Pededze ( Estonian Pedetsi jõgi ; German name: Peddetz ) is a right tributary of the Aiviekste in Latvia , Estonia and in the Russian Oblast Pskow .
The river has its source in Lake Kirikumäe in Estonia and forms its border with Russia on the upper reaches . A large part of the catchment area is forested. On Latvian territory, the river flows south to its mouth. Below Litene , the meandering course created many oxbow lakes .
The largest tributaries are Sita (41 km) and Paparze (27 km).
