Pedro Amorim

Pedro Caminha Amorim (born July 20, 1958 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian choir musician .

Under the influence of Jacob do Bandolim and Rossini Ferreira , the mandolinist and guitarist turned to choral music. He made his debut as a member of the group Nó em Pingo D´água , with whom he recorded an album for the 100th birthday of João Pernambuco in 1993. In the same year he founded the O Trio with Maurício Carrilho and Paulo Sérgio Santos , with whom he recorded the album of the same name in Paris. The album won two Sharp awards in the instrumental music category.

After another album with the O Trio and Teca Calazans and a solo album, he took the album Semper Nazaré with Maria Teresa Madeira . As an instrumentalist he worked a. a. with Beth Carvalho , Chico Buarque and Nei Lopes . He also composed for Paulo César Pinheiro , Nelson Sargento , Maurício Carrilho , Délcio de Carvalho and Zorba Devagar .

In 1998 he recorded the album Os bambas do bandolim with Déo Rian , Bruno Rian , Ronaldo do Bandolim , Isaías , Joel Nascimento , Reco do Bandolim , Hamilton de Holanda , Jorge Cardoso and Rossini Ferreira . In 2000 he worked alongside Paulo Sérgio Santos and Zezé Gonzaga on the show Do chorinho ao samba under the direction of Ricardo Cravo Albin .

In 2001 he worked as part of the project Brasileirinho, o choro de um século depois with Maurício Carrilho , Jorginho do Pandeiro and Luciana Rabello and the guests Henrique Annes and Jacaré at the show Homenagem a Luperce Miranda , João Pernambuco e ao choro pernambucano in the cultural center of the Banff do Brasil with.
