Pedro Cosio

Pedro Cosio (born October 8, 1873 in Montevideo , † 1943 ) was a Uruguayan politician , diplomat and economist .

Cosio was the son of Domingo Cosio and Angela Madsen. He belonged to the Partido Colorado and sat in the 24th legislative period from February 15, 1911 to March 27, 1913 as a member of the Department of Montevideo in the Cámara de Representantes . He later also held the post of finance minister from 1913 to 1916. From November 21, 1918 to October 4, 1919 he held the position of envoy Uruguay in the USA . From 1927 to 1932 he was the Uruguayan ambassador to the Weimar Republic .
