Pedro Luis de Borja Llançol de Romaní OSIo.Hieros. (* 1472 in València , Spain ; † October 4, 1511 ) was a cardinal of the Roman Church .

Life

Pedro Luis, known as Cardinal Borja-Lanzol de Romaní, was born the fourth son of Jofré de Borja Llançol de Romaní, ninth señor de Villalonga, and Juana de Moncada. His father was the son of Juana de Borja, the sister of Rodrigo Borgias, and Pere-Guillem Llançol de Romaní, eighth señor de Villalonga. As the great-nephew of Pope Alexander VI. when he entered the Order of St. John . He was elevated to cardinal in pectore by his uncle on March 20, 1500 . After the Pope published his name on September 28th of that year, on October 5th he made him Cardinal Deacon of S. Maria in Via Lata . Already on July 29, 1500 appointed Archbishop of Valencia , he received a second titular church with San Marcello on December 7, 1503 and at the same time became a major penitentiary . In June 1510 he became archpriest of Santa Maria Maggiore .

He died on October 4, 1511.

His brother was Cardinal Juan de Borja Llançol de Romaní .
