Pedro Mairal (born September 27, 1970 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine writer.

Life

Pedro Mairal began studying medicine and then studied English literature at the private Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires. His first poems were printed in the daily La Prensa .

Mairal writes for the newspaper, is a screenwriter and author of several novels. His novel Una noche con Sabrina Love was filmed under the same title in 2000. His poetry also appeared under the pseudonym Ramón Paz. The novel La uruguaya became a bestseller in Argentina, and Mairal received the Premio Tigre Juan for it in 2017 .
