The Municipio Pedro Zaraza is one of 15 Municipios of the state of Guárico in central Venezuela . The municipality consists of two parroquias , the administrative headquarters Zaraza and San José de Unare . The district is located in the northeast of the state. It takes its name from Pedro Zaraza , a soldier from the Venezuelan War of Independence.
Demographics
At the 2011 census, 8.3% of the state's population lived in the Municipio Pedro Zaraz; In 2001 the proportion was still 8.6%.

The main road CT-13 runs in a west-east direction through the municipality. The main road CT-14 branches off from here in Zaraza to the northeast .
