Pefine , occasionally Péfine and Pefiné , is a village in western Guinea-Bissau with 872 inhabitants in three districts.

Administration and population

The place is in the administrative sector of Prabis in the Biombo region .

It consists of three villages ( Tabancas ):

  • Pefine Papel Areia with 381 inhabitants (mainly Pepel , Portuguese : Papel )
  • Pefine Balanta with 262 inhabitants (mostly Balanta )
  • Pefine Pescador with 229 inhabitants

Sports

The most famous sports club in the area is the Flamengo de Pefine football club . It was named after the Brazilian club Flamengo Rio de Janeiro .

In 2016 he rose to the first division, the Campeonato Nacional da Guiné-Bissau .
