Peg is a song by the jazz rock band Steely Dan , which was released in 1977 as the first single from the album Aja . It reached number 11 on the Billboard charts.
General
The song's guitar solo was recorded by seven top studio session guitarists, including Robben Ford and the band's popular Larry Carlton , before Jay Graydon's (Jay Graydon * 1949) solo was selected. He worked on the song for around six hours before the band was satisfied.
Graydon spoke about the recordings in 2014:
“Yes, they are known to be very picky, but so am I as a guitarist and record producer. In that sense, I had no problem working with them. As I mentioned earlier, I was the seventh guitarist to replace six other solos! "
