Peggy Rathmann
Peggy Rathmann (born March 4, 1953 in Saint Paul , Minnesota ) is an American picture book author.
Rathmann first studied psychology, then graphics and design at the American Academy in Chicago . Good Night, Gorilla from hers is one of the modern picture book classics in the USA. She lives in Nicasio, California with her husband.
Honors
- 1996: Caldecott Gold Medal for Officer Buckle and Gloria .
- 2006: the Institute for Youth Literature voted Good Night, Gorilla "Book of the Month" (September)
