Pekka Juhani Hannikainen (born December 9, 1854 in Nurmes , † September 13, 1924 in Helsinki ) was a Finnish composer .

Hannikainen studied in Helsinki and was a choir conductor there. From 1887 to 1917 he was a music teacher in Jyväskylä . There his 5 sons, the diplomat Lauri Hannikainen, the conductor Tauno Hannikainen, the violinist Arvi Hannikainen and the composers Ilmari Hannikainen and Väinö Hannikainen were born.

Hannikainen composed several collections of choral and solo songs and published Finnish folk songs and folk dances.
