Armas Petter "Pekka" Kuvaja (born June 15, 1921 in Heinävesi ; † November 21, 2003 in Tampere ) was a Finnish cross-country skier .

Kuvaja won seventh place over 50 km at the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz and eighth place over 50 km at the 1950 World Championships in Lake Placid . In March 1950 he finished second at the Lahti Ski Games over 50 km. In 1951 and 1952 he came in second place in the Wasalauf . At the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952 , he ran to ninth place over 50 km. In 1954 he was the first non-Swede to win the Wasalauf. At Finnish championships he won in 1949 with the relay of Jämsänkosken Ilves. His son is the former Nordic combined skier Jukka Kuvaja .
