Pekka Vanninen (born January 29, 1911 in Rautalakhti , † February 13, 1970 in Jämsä ) was a Finnish cross-country skier .

Vanninen won second place over 50 km at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival in March 1938 . In February 1939 he was fourth over 50 km at the Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane in 1939 and won the Lahti Ski Games over 50 km. In 1947 he won over 50 km at the Lahti Ski Games and came eighth over 50 km at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival. At the Olympic Winter Games in St. Moritz in 1948 he came fourth over 50 km and came first in the Svenska Skidspelen over 50 km and in the Lahti Ski Games in second place behind his brother Benjamin Vanninen over 50 km. He repeated this placement the following year. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lake Placid in 1950 , he ran in sixth place over 50 km. At Finnish championships he won six times over 50 km.
