Finnish Snooker Championship
The Finnish Snooker Championship is a national competition to determine the Finnish champion in snooker billiards .
history
The first recorded edition in 1990 won Jyri Virtanen , two years later he lost 5-0 to Robin Hull . In 1994 Esa Kaikumaa won the Finnish Snooker Championship for the first time, a year later Risto Värynen defeated Ari Ratinen 5-3 . A year later, Värynen also defended the title for the first time, this time Kimmo Lang defeated 5: 3. In 1998 Jyri Virtanen was able to make his second title win perfectly. A year later, Esa Kaikumaa also won the title for the second time. The next competition was from Ville Pasanenwon, who defended his title a year later. In 2003 he won the title for the third time, a year later Kimmo Lang won the title for the first time. In 2005 two former title winners dueled each other in the final, Robin Hull defeated Risto Värynen.
In 2011, Hull won his third title. A year later, Kimmo Lang was able to win for the second time, he managed a 4-2 victory over Kim Laaksonen. A year later, Lang was in the final again, but this time he had to admit defeat to Robin Hull. A new edition took place a year later, again Hull won. In 2015, Lang lost for the third time in a row, this time 4-3 against Olli-Pekka Virho . In 2016 there were two newcomers to the final, Pessi Lyyra defeated Esa Oikarinen 4: 3. In 2017 Patrik Tiihonen won the competition for the first time by beating Olli-Pekka Virho 4-0. In 2018 Robin Hull celebrated his sixth title win in the sixth final, defeating Antti Tolvanen 4-1. The following year Jani Kananen won his first title against Antti Tolvanen.
