Penda Bah (born August 17, 1998 in Gambia ) is a Gambian soccer player .

Athletic career

Penda Bah started playing football at Makasutu FC around 2011 , where she played until at least March 2013.

From at least May 2015 until the beginning of 2019 she played for Interior FC , with which she won several titles. In 2015 she appeared as an ambassador for the Live your Goals project of the world football association FIFA .

In mid-February 2019 it was announced that she would join the Dream Stars Ladies in Lagos in the Nigeria Women Premier League for one year . At the Africa Cup, the team's management became aware of Bah.

National team

Bah joined the Gambian U-17 team at the U-17 Women's World Cup in Azerbaijan in 2012 at the age of 14 . At this point she was in 10th grade. Gambia clearly lost all three group games and finished bottom of the group. Bah scored one of two goals for Gambia in the entire tournament in the 2:10 against France. Bah was not disappointed, however, as it was the first time he had taken part in such an important tournament.

In 2017 she played for the Gambian national soccer team for the first time . She has been the team's captain since June 2018 . In qualifying for the Africa Cup of Women in 2018 , she and her team were eliminated in the second round against the Nigerian team , which later won the title.
