The Penguin Heights ( English , Japanese ペンギン台 Pengin Dai , both sides translated Penguin heights ) are relatively low and rocky heights at the Prince Olav Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud country . They rise 1.5 km southwest of Cape Hinode .
Aerial photographs and measurements of a Japanese Antarctic expedition carried out from 1957 to 1962 were used to map them. The Japanese name from 1973 was transferred to English by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names two years later.
