Penha Longa is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Marco de Canaveses . The community had 1928 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Penha Longa and Paços de Gaiolo were merged to form the new municipality of Penhalonga e Paços de Gaiolo . Penha Longa is the seat of this newly formed community.
