Rio de Galinhas is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Marco de Canaveses . The community had residents in 2017 (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Rio de Galinhas, Freixo , São Nicolau , Tuias and Fornos were merged to form the new parish Marco .
