Penjo Penew
Penjo Penew , actually Penjo Penew Mitew ( Bulgarian Пеньо Пенев ; * May 7, 1930 in Dobromirka , † April 27, 1959 in Dimitrovgrad ) was a Bulgarian poet.
Life
In 1949, Penew went to Dimitrovgrad, which had recently been founded as a socialist city, and was involved in building the city. He later worked there as a journalist .
From a socialist point of view, his works dealt in particular with the development and industrialization of Bulgaria. He was posthumously awarded the Dimitrov Prize. The museum existing in Dimitrovgrad as the historical house Penjo Penew belongs to the series of 100 national tourist objects in Bulgaria.
