The Penrod Nunatak is a 1016 m high nunatak in Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It rises about 3 km northwest of the Abbey Nunatak and north of the confluence of the Kansas Glacier in the Reedy Glacier .
It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey and using aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1960 and 1964. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1967 after Jack R. Penrod, Seabees employee and postal worker at Byrd Station in the winter 1957.
