Saudi International 2008

The Saudi International 2008 took place from December 14th to 19th, 2008 in al-Chubar , Saudi Arabia . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2008/09 and belonged to the Super Series Platinum category . It was endowed with US $ 250,000, the highest amount of prize money to date on the PSA World Tour .

Karim Darwish won the final against Grégory Gaultier 11: 9, 11: 5, 3:11 and 11: 8. Darwish, who won the 15th title of his career, secured himself the first takeover of the world rankings on January 1, 2009 by winning the tournament .

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 32 players, eight of which were reserved for qualifiers. The 16 best players were seeded. Per Wildcard received Naif Aburegah a spot in the main draw.
