Joey Barrington (born January 18, 1980 in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil ) is a former English squash player .

Career

Joey Barrington began his professional career in 2002 and won six tournaments on the PSA World Tour . He reached his highest position in the world rankings with rank 24 in January 2007. His father Jonah Barrington , also his trainer, was also active and successful as a squash player. In 2008 Joey Barrington was appointed to the English national team for the first time and represented England in four of the five games at the European Team Championships in Amsterdam . His last full season on the World Tour was in 2011/12. On the PSA World Tour 2012/13 he only played one tournament.

Joey Barrington has been a live commentator on the PSA World Tour for several years. In March 2014 he married his wife Emily. The two became parents of a son on December 21, 2014.
