Pensioners Association of Austria
The Pensioners' Association Austria (PVÖ) is an organization closely related to the social democratic party of Austria to represent the interests of senior citizens in Austria .
history
The Pensioners' Association was founded on September 17, 1949 in Ottakring as an association of workers, accident and agricultural workers pensioners and community welfare workers in Austria . In 1975 the name was changed to the Pensioners' Association of Austria .
structure
The structure of the association consists of the association headquarters in Vienna , the 9 regional organizations and 110 district organizations. According to its own information, the PVÖ has 1,742 local groups with 386,000 members.
