Per-Olaf Fründt

Per-Olaf "Perry" Fründt (born June 11,  1968 in Hamburg ) is a former German basketball player . During his career, the 1.92 meter tall build-up and winger played for MTV Gießen , TK Hannover and SV Oberelchingen in the basketball league .

career

As a teenager, Fründt played basketball in his hometown and in the mid-1980s for a year at a high school in the United States. In 1989 he moved from Eidelstedter SV to Bundesliga club MTV Gießen and played there until 1991. He then strengthened the second division club TK Hannover, with whom he became champion of the northern season of the 2nd basketball division  in the 1992/93 season and was promoted to the Bundesliga. With the Lower Saxony he missed relegation in 1994, but stayed in the top division by going to SV Oberelchingen, where he went basketball from 1994 to 1996.

In 1996 Fründt returned to TK Hannover in the second division, in 1999 he moved within the league to OBC Wolmirstedt, where he was active until 2001.

Fründt holds a degree in industrial engineering and a real estate economist and, after completing his basketball career, worked as a financial and investment advisor.
