Percival Everett

Percival Everett (* 1956 in Fort Gordon , Georgia ) is an American writer and professor of English at the University of Southern California .

life and work

Everett studied at Brown University and wrote his first novel while studying with Suder , which was published in 1983. In addition to various novels, he also published a children's book, The One That Got Away, in 1992.

He is married to the author Danzy Senna and lives with her and their two sons in Los Angeles .

Everett received the Academy Award for Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and the Gregor von Rezzori Award, among others . In 2016 he was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .
