Perm (unit)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The perm ( unit symbol : perm or Pm ), derived from " perm eability", is a common unit of permeability of solids . A distinction is made between the so-called Metric Perm , which is used in the CGS system, and the US Perm , which is based on the Anglo-American system of measurement . The dimension of the unit corresponds to the area.

1 Metric Perm = 1.07 · 10 −3 US Perm = 1.01 · 10 8 Darcy = 1 = 1 cm² = 10 −4 = 10 −4

1 US Perm = 9.29 x 10 2 Metric Perm = 9.43 x 10 10 Darcy = 9.29 x 10 2 cm² = 9.29 x 10 −2
