Perry Jones (tennis official)

Perry Thomas Jones (born June 22, 1890 in Etiwanda , Rancho Cucamonga , California , † September 16, 1970 in Los Angeles ) was an American tennis official.

Perry Jones was president of the "Southern California Association" and director of the tennis tournament "Pacific Southwest Tournament". He later promoted famous southern California players such as Jack Kramer , Billie Jean King and Dennis Ralston . Why Jones was nicknamed Mr. Tennis, Perry T. awarded. 1958/59 he was the captain of the American Davis Cup team. In 1970 he was accepted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame .
