Personnel Ordinary

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Personal Ordinariate is as Ordinariat one of the particular Church assimilated Roman Catholic administrative unit. In today's existing staff Ordinariate are exclusively those facilities that for once the Anglican and Episcopal churches were built belonging to believers and communities that the Roman Catholic Church have converted and the primacy of jurisdiction of the Pope have assumed. In the ordinariats they should be able to carry on their special Anglican heritage.

The basis for the establishment of such ecclesiastical organizational units for former Anglicans was that of Pope Benedict XVI. Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum coetibus, issued on November 4, 2009 .

The first jurisdiction as a staff ordinariate was established on January 15, 2011 with the staff ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham for former members of the Church of England and the Church in Wales . On January 1, 2012, the Kathedra Petri staff ordinariate was followed by a corresponding institution for those willing to convert in the United States (mainly from the Episcopal Church of the United States of America ) and Canada, and on June 15, 2012 with the ordinariate of Our Lady of the Cross of the South for Anglicans in Australia and Oceania who want to convert .

The missal Divine Worship: The Missal , which varies the Roman Mass liturgy with classical Anglican prayer texts, has been in effect in the personal ordinariates since November 29, 2015 .

The personal ordinariates are exempt and subordinate directly to the Holy See .
