Personat (position)
Personat (plural: personate , Latin: personatus) is the designation for the honorary positions directly subordinate to the dignity positions (Latin: dignitas) in monastery or cathedral chapters . In the Middle Ages, there was no strict distinction between personat and dignity. The personates mostly had no jurisdiction. The CIC no longer knows personates. However, they still exist in individual chapters.
