The Perunika Glacier ( Bulgarian ледник Перуника lednik Perunika ) is a glacier on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It flows north of the Plíska Ridge to South Bay , which it reaches north of Bulgarian Beach .
The name was given by the Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names in 1995. The name is given by a village in the Rhodope Mountains , the name of which is derived from Perun , the supreme god of Slavic mythology.
