Peter Žiga

Peter Žiga (born July 27, 1972 in Košice ) is a Slovak politician .

Life

Žiga graduated from the Faculty of Business Management of the Bratislava University of Economics . He worked in the financial sector in Slovakia and also represented Slovak companies in Düsseldorf and Magdeburg . In the parliamentary elections in 2006 , 2010 and 2012 he was a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic . At the time of the first Fico government, he was State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs. He is the Environment Minister of the second Fico government formed on April 4, 2012 after the 2012 elections.

Žiga is married and has two children.
