Peter A. Diaper

Peter Axel Windel (born June 13, 1959 in Pforzheim ) is a German lawyer and professor at the Ruhr University in Bochum .

Life

Windel studied law at the Universities of Göttingen and Heidelberg , where he passed his first state examination in law in 1984. In 1987 he passed his second state examination in Baden-Württemberg. Also in Heidelberg, Windel obtained his doctorate from Ludwig Häsemeyer in 1991. jur. In 1996 he completed his habilitation and received the venia legendi for the subjects civil law and civil procedural law.

This was followed by professorships at the universities of Heidelberg and Bayreuth . In the 1998/99 winter semester, Windel succeeded Walter Zeiss as the chair for procedural law and civil law at the University of Bochum , which he has held since then. From 2006 to 2008 he was dean of the Bochum law faculty, in the following two years its vice dean.
