Peter Anthony Rosazza (born February 13, 1935 in New Haven ) is auxiliary bishop emeritus in Hartford .

Life

Peter Anthony Rosazza was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Hartford on June 29, 1961 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on February 28, 1978 auxiliary bishop in Hartford and titular bishop of Oppidum Novum . He received his episcopal ordination from the Archbishop of Hartford, John Francis Whealon , on June 24 of the same year; Co- consecrators were John Francis Hackett , Auxiliary Bishop of Hartford, and Ulises Aurelio Casiano Vargas , Bishop of Mayagüez .

On June 30, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
