Peter Baco

Peter Baco (born April 9, 1945 in Opatová ) is a Slovak politician and was a member of the Movement for a Democratic Slovakia . From 2004 to 2009 he initially sat for his party, after its dissolution as a non-attached member of the European Parliament.

Life

Baco studied agricultural science in Slovakia from 1963 to 1968. From 1992 to 1998, Baco was Minister of Agriculture in the Vladimír Mečiar II government and Minister of Agriculture in the Vladimír Mečiar III government . From 1994 to 2002 Baco was a member of the National Council of the Slovak Republic . From 2004 to 2009 Baco was a member of the European Parliament . There he was a member of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and a delegation to the EU-Croatia Joint Parliamentary Committee.
