Peter Basin
Peter Basin , also Peter Baschin (born before 1589; died after 1616 in Liestal ) was a Swiss carpenter .
Life
Peter Basin comes from Château-d'Oex and has been recorded in Liestal since 1589, where he married the widow of Fridolin Pfaff in 1590 . The entrance door to the council chamber (1589), a buffet (1607) and the paneling in the council chamber of the town hall of Liestal (1615, together with his son David Basin and his son-in-law Paulus Kalt), a buffet from the old hospital in Liestal, were made by him (1603/04, today in the Holsteinerhof in Basel) and the pulpit in the church of Lausen (1616) have been preserved. One of the works ascribed to him is a chest from the Olsbergerhof in Liestal (1599), now in the Basel Historical Museum .
