Rolf Degerlund

Rolf Harry Degerlund (born December 8, 1952 in Gunnarsbyn , Boden , Sweden ) is a Swedish actor .

Career

Degerlund began to direct theater plays in Swedish schools in his youth. During his military service, he met the actor Magnus Nilsson , which led him to the decision to take up an acting education. Afterwards he studied in Kalix at the Folkhögskolas Teaterlinje and after receiving a corresponding scholarship, he attended the acting and mimodrama school École Internationale de Mimodrame founded by Marcel Marceau in Paris and then went to Józef Szajna's studio theater in Warsaw .

In 1973 he was one of the founding members of Lule Stassteater , a free theater group in Luleå . Degerlund also worked in the TV theater in Gothenburg in 1975 and on television in Sundsvall in 1978. As a theater actor, he had also been working for Norrbottensteatern since 1978 and from 1988 to 2001 he was the theater director or director of this theater.

Degerlund founded the Ice Globe Theater in Jukkasjärvi in 2002 - based on the model of the Ice Globe Theater in London. In 2004 he was awarded the Innovation Award in London for this and also for his "innovative theater" . Degerlund also worked as a director for the Swedish magician and illusionist Joe Labero . Furthermore, he was involved as a writer and director in the performance of the musical "Pippi Longstocking - An Adventure on the Ice" ( Pippi Långstrump - Ett äventyr på is ).

Since 2005 Degerlund has been the CEO / Creative Director of Pronto Production AB, a communications agency that deals with methodological competence in strategy development in design / graphic design, branding and the corresponding technology. As a film actor, he is also involved in many Swedish film and television productions.

Degerlund was married to the journalist and historian Lotta Gröning (* 1957).
