Kalle, Eva-Lotta and Anders witness a kidnapping. Professor Rasmusson is abducted to a deserted island with his son Rasmus. While Eva is secretly hiding in the criminal's car and laying a trail for the boys, the two boys follow her from a distance on a motorcycle. The children soon learn that Professor Rasmusson invented light metals that are indestructible and that the kidnappers want the papers on which the invention is described. The boys can communicate with Eva-Lotta and Rasmus. The latter befriends Nicke, one of the kidnappers. He actually doesn't agree with the kidnapping of the children. With the support of Nicke, the boys finally manage to free Eva-Lotta & Rasmus. The boys finally manage to secretly call the police. This catches the criminals before they can escape.

The film is based on the novel Kalle Blomquist, Eva-Lotta and Rasmus by Astrid Lindgren . This was filmed in 1953 as Kalle Blomquist lives dangerous ( Mästerdetektiven lever farligt ). The film was first shown on television in Sweden in 1997. In January 1998 the German television broadcast followed.
Differences from the book
The main characters are a few years younger than in the books. The film team believed that young people would no longer fight for Grandmother than Red and White Rose.
reception
The Cinema praised the presentation of the child actors, particularly those of William Svedberg , the so-cute games the 5-year-old Rasmus.
