Always this Michel third - Michel brings the world to rights is a film directed by Olle Hellbom from the year 1973 . It is the third film in the three-part adaptation of Astrid Lindgren's novels about Michel from Lönneberga . From 1975 to 1976 the television series Michel from Lönneberga followed , which largely consists of the feature films and was expanded to include additional scenes. The main difference is the synchronization with altered dialogues that was done in the series by other speakers.

Michel is allowed to accompany his father, the servant Alfred and the maid Lina to an auction in the town of Backhorva. In order to earn a little more money, he works as a gate boy and opens the gate gates for the teams that are all on their way to the auction so that the coachmen don't always have to get off. At the auction, Michel buys several supposedly useless items that turn out to be very advantageous purchases in retrospect. Michel's father, on the other hand, buys a fat pig and a cow, although they are a bit stubborn. That is why he accepts a suggestion from his son that he should give the cow as a present if he succeeds in driving her to the Katthulthof. Since Michel quickly realized that the cow only felt lonely and insecure, he drove her to the village with other cows. Michel's mother was very proud of her smart son.
The next day Lina had a bad toothache and her cheek was all swollen. Michel wants to help her and tries to pull the rotten tooth. Using the horse as a draft animal for this, however, fails. Even letting Lina jump from the shed roof into the hay with her tooth tied up doesn't work. So, with a heavy heart, she makes her way to the blacksmith, who then takes care of the matter. Meanwhile, Michel is playing with Ida and because he heard something about typhus from the tenant Krösa-Maja, he paints her face blue in ink. As a punishment, he has to go to the woodshed again, where this time he plans to become a better person. That is also necessary because school is now beginning for him. He could already read a bit and even so he already knew a lot, so that he immediately became class representative.
When Michel couldn't sleep one night, he heard a noise in the stable. There the auctioned sow got her piglets, but almost all of them were bitten to death, Michel can only save one of the piglets. Since the sow dies shortly afterwards, Michel's father says that there would be a curse on the auctioned animals. Michel doesn't believe in it, because his piglet is thriving. One day he is out with his horse Lukas and with his wild cavalry disturbs the rifle club, which had organized a big picnic. He is promptly locked back in the shed by his father, where his piglet now keeps him company. Instead of carving wooden figures, he teaches the piglet all kinds of tricks. His father doesn't like it at all, because the pig should be ready for slaughter by Christmas. To prevent this, Michel takes a lot of exercise to ensure that his piglet does not get fat.
When the weather is nice, the cherries in the Svenssons' garden ripen quickly and the harvest is very plentiful. So Michel's mother persuades her husband to make cherry wine from the fruit. Michel is supposed to bury the residues of the fermented cherries, but he thinks that this would be a shame and so he feeds the animals with them. So he unknowingly makes them drunk and he says that the whole chickens are now dead because they were frightened of the piglet. When the piglet began to sway too, he tasted the cherries himself and couldn't find anything bad about it. So he soon falls asleep drunk and Alfred helps him to sober up again. Little Ida now finds the supposedly dead chickens, but when she touches the animals, they all wake up again. The next morning everyone was on their feet again, but in the afternoon three Good Templars appear who want to stop the citizens from drinking. So Michel should come to hers to listen to a sermon on sobriety. His mother accompanies him because she feels complicit. Michel's piglet also appears uninvited and he thinks that the animal should also take a vow . Michel's mother sells the finished wine to Ms. Petrell, but Michel thinks he should start putting the world in order here and he begins to smash the full wine bottles.
