Emy Storm

Emy Storm (born May 20, 1925 in Alfta , Ovanåker municipality , as Emmy Karolina Storm , † November 24, 2014 in Malmö ) was a Swedish actress .

Her first film Sinful Love , in which she played a waitress, was made by Emy Storm in 1948. After a few minor roles, she made her breakthrough as an actress in the 1950s. In the following decades she starred in over 50 Swedish films and TV series. She became known to German audiences in particular through the film series Michel from Lönneberga (1971–1973) based on Astrid Lindgren , in which she portrayed Michel's mother Alma Svensson. Emy Storm and her husband, the actor Göte Fyhring (* 1929), were also politically active, including in the association of social democratic cultural workers (Kulturarbetarnas Socialdemokratiska Förening) . She died in November 2014 at the age of 89 after a stroke .
