Rasmus and the Vagabond is a Swedish film directed by Olle Hellbom in 1981. It is a film adaptation of the children's book Rasmus and the Tramps by Astrid Lindgren .

The eight-year-old orphan Rasmus breaks out of the orphanage , he wants to look for parents himself. The next morning he meets the tramp Oskar, with whom he gets along very well and with whom he travels the country. They have some adventures together, and Rasmus is finally taken in by Oskar and his wife.
