News from us children from Bullerbü (also published under the title News from the children from Bullerbü ) is the film adaptation of the children's book of the same name by the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren . content

Eight-year-old Lisa reports on her experiences in the fictional village of Bullerbü in Småland, Sweden . She tells of the first day of school after the summer vacation, of the joint potato harvest with her brothers Lasse and Bosse and the neighboring children Britta, Inga, Ole and Kerstin. She tells of a snow storm that surprised the children on their way home from school. After Christmas they visit an aunt, but Lasse falls into an ice hole while ice skating , but the other children save him. The children spend the turn of the year 1929 pouring lead . Lisa also reports on her experiences at school, the April Fools joke , swapping lacquer pictures or the fact that she brings a little lamb to class.

criticism

"An enchanting, lovable evocation of threatened qualities of being a child, which largely dispenses with drama and conveys a sensual impression of the qualities of existence, moments of happiness and possible togetherness."

The German Film and Media Evaluation FBW in Wiesbaden awarded the film the title valuable.
