Pippi goes aboard is a Swedish children's film from 1969. Astrid Lindgren wrote the screenplay based on her Pippi Longstocking novels. Directed by Olle Hellbom .

action

Pippi decided to stay with Tommy and Annika after seeing how sad they both are. So she disembarked the Hoppetosse , her father's ship.

Now nothing stands in the way of the three of them to experience more adventures. There would be B. the "Krummelus Pills". Because Pippi, Tommy and Annika never want to grow up. How good that Pippi still has these "pills" in the house. And with the right “incantation” it will certainly work with “not growing up”. But then Pippi said that the pills had been lying in her cupboard for a long time, and maybe it was just dried peas after all.

Pippi never runs out of ideas for games. Tommy and Annika had never heard of “searching for things” before. Pippi explains to them that if you are only open enough about the world, you can discover a lot of beautiful things. And so she finds many "treasures" such as B. an old rusty bucket. On the spur of the moment, she puts it on her head and takes it for a walk. She promptly falls with it. And Pippi says convincingly that it was good to have found this bucket, otherwise she might have hit her head. Annika's argument that she wouldn't have fallen without a bucket is also not allowed by Pippi.

It gets really wild when Pippi drops by at school. Tommy and Annika told Pippi what great things they do at school. So Pippi rides by with her horse “Little Uncle”; punctually for the third hour. Because getting up so early is just not possible. Pippi just has her own way of solving things. And so the teacher has her difficulties with Pippi. But how should you B. solve the task of painting your favorite animal when you only have a tiny piece of paper? Her “little uncle” would not fit on it. And that the teacher is not thrilled that Pippi is painting the classroom wall instead, she simply cannot understand. And so, after a day, Pippi quits school again.

The film ends with Christmas. Although Pippi has her own ideas there, too, Christmas should be reflective for Pippi. And so she also thinks of her mother, who looks down on her as an angel and protects her.

Reviews

"Useful cinema food."

“The first sequel to the adventures of Pippi Longstocking, which looks like it has been pieced together from the remains of the first part. Visually and staged unimaginative and exhaustingly boring. "
