Master detective Kalle Blomquist (original title: Mästerdetektiven Blomkvist ) is a children's film by Rolf Husberg based on the novel Kalle Blomquist - master detective by Astrid Lindgren .

action

Kalle is bored. He thinks that too little is happening in the city he lives in. He would like to solve crimes together with his friends Anders and Eva-Lotta.

One day a man, unknown to them, appears. He explains that he is, Einar - a cousin of Eva-Lotta's mother.

When Einar wants to go to the old mine with Kalle, Anders and Eva-Lotta and the children shouldn't tell anyone about the excursion, Kalle becomes suspicious. He thinks there is something suspicious about Einar. Einar also has a lockpick and secretly sneaks out of the house at night.

Kalle goes to the old mine to investigate. On the floor, Kalle finds something that looks like a diamond. He leaves the mine and goes home.

From a tree, Kalle later observes two men approaching Einar. The two threaten Einar with a weapon and want to force him to come with them. They explain that not three do all the work and only one takes the money. Kalle is certain that the men are gangsters.

Kalle reads in a newspaper about a jewel theft worth 35,000 kroner and shows Anders and Eva-Lotta the report. A little later, he sends Einar's secret fingerprints to the Stockholm police.

Then Kalle goes to the mine with Eva-Lotta and Anders to secure the jewels. There Einar lies tied up on the floor and a little later the other two gangsters join them. When they learn that Kalle, Eva-Lotta and Anders have the jewels, the gangsters free Einar. They thought Einar had the jewels. The three gangsters set out to find the jewels and lock Anders, Kalle and Eva-Lotta in the mine. Meanwhile, the state police come to the police station. They have received the letter from Kalle and are looking for him. Kalle, Anders and Eva-Lotta can free themselves from the mine. Together with the police, the friends follow the trio of criminals. The police catch the thieves. Kalle receives a reward of 10,000 crowns, which he shares with Anders and Eva-Lotta.
