The pirates (original title: Tjorven och Mysak ) is a Swedish film from 1966, directed by Olle Hellbom . He continues the story from the television series Holidays on Crows Island and the films The Enchanted Prince and The Troll Child .

Eight-year-old Pelle would like his father Melcher to have a game day. Malin, Peter, Skrollan, Tjorven, Stina and Tjorven's father also come along to an old ship called the Albertina. You split up into different teams and fight for a pirate treasure, the wish stone Mysak. In doing so, they keep getting in the way of Westermann, who actually only wants to work there. You will have a wonderful day. However, in the end Melcher's watch disappeared. Melcher suspects Pelle to have messed it up. Later it turns out that a magpie stole the watch. Melcher apologizes to Pelle.

The film was shot in Artfilm's studio, on Mälaröarna , in Eckerö , in Åland and on Norröra in the Stockholm archipelago .
Melcher's sons Johan and Niklas and Tjorven's sisters Teddy and Freddy cannot be seen in this film.
The stone is called Mysak in Swedish. Mysak is a small enamel miniature sculpture by Karl Axel Pehrson .
The film premiered in Swedish cinemas on December 10, 1966.

TV Shows
The films Tjorven, Båtsman och Moses ( The Enchanted Prince ) were made for ZDF ; Tjorven och Skrållan ( The Troll Child ); Tjorven och Mysak ( The Pirates ) and Skrållan, Ruskprick och Knorrhane ( Happy Homecoming ) put together for a 16-part series Holidays on Saltkrokan . This was broadcast in 1971. The films were cut together in episodes of around 20 to 24 minutes in length. The feature film The Cursed Prince ( Tjorven, Båtsman och Moses ) became one of the series episodes The Cursed Prince and Boatswain should die . This was followed by the series episodes Malin's Wedding and The Troll Child , which were compiled from the film The Troll Child ( Tjorven och Skrållan ). The film The Pirates ( Tjorven och Mysak ) became the episodes of The Pirates and The Clock Thief . The last thing that was cut was the film Happy Homecoming into the series episodes Rüpel and Knurrhahn and Happy Homecoming .
In 1979 the films were also shown in Sweden as a 12-part television series Så går det till på Saltkråkan .
