Power of Love (Original title: Something to Talk About , alternative title: The Game of Love ) is an American feature film from 1995. The director was Lasse Hallström , the main roles played Julia Roberts and Dennis Quaid .
The film grossed around 50 million US dollars in cinemas in the United States and was considered financially successful.

Grace King Bichon, who lives in a small town, catches her husband Eddie cheating. She separates from him and begins an independent life. She is supported by her resolute sister Emma Rae, who does not hesitate to kick her brother-in-law in the genitals. Grace regrets not having finished her veterinary studies because of the pregnancy , although she was only a year away.
Shortly before a charity event in her home town, Grace is approached by one of the friends, who worriedly asks if it was her affair with Eddie that made Grace decide. Thereupon Grade takes the floor in the subsequent meeting and asks all the women present who have taken advantage of the special service that they have slept with Eddie. As one tries to calm her down, she chats about the affairs of the friends present that she knows. The women fled the hall.
Grace learns that her parents Wyly and Georgia King's marriage is also in crisis. Georgia throws Wyly out of the common house, but forgives him after he lost a show jumping tournament.
Eventually Grace decides to finish her studies. She makes up with Eddie.
Reviews
In Europe, the film was accused of being banal. The reviews in the USA were milder, among other things Julia Roberts was praised for her performance.

Kyra Sedgwick was honored for her role in the film awards Golden Globe and American Comedy Award nominations.
