Björn Isfalt
Björn Isfalt (born June 28, 1942 in Linköping , † January 17, 1997 in Gamla Enskede ; full name Tor Björn Engelbrekt Isfalt ) was a Swedish musician and film composer .
Life
Björn Isfält studied at the Academy of Music in Stockholm . He made his film music debut in 1970 with A Swedish Love Story . He then contributed the music to a large number of films from his home country, including the film Giliap by the Swedish director Roy Andersson . One of the most famous films he worked on can be called Ronja the Robber's Daughter , the film adaptation of Astrid Lindgren 's children's book of the same name .
Isfalt was one of the most popular and productive film musicians in Sweden. In his more than 35 works he often played all instruments himself, especially the piano , flute and guitar .
He died of cancer in January 1997.
