Peter Beck (born April 9, 1965 ) is a former Liechtenstein luge rider .
Career
Beck trained for the 1984/85 season, thanks to the support of the Fédération Internationale de Luge de Course with the Italian Luge Association . In the following season he became club champion of the Triesenberg toboggan club and national champion of Liechtenstein. In 1986 he broke away from the training community with the Italians and trained alone. At the World Championships in 1987 Beck wanted to create the Olympic standard, after the first run he was still in 23rd place, but then had to give up due to illness. He traveled to the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary with his supervisor Rainer Gassner . In the single-seater he was in 20th place after the first run, but fell in the second run and was not placed. After the games, he was able to complete a few training runs with the US team under the direction of Liechtenstein coach Wolfgang Schädler .
